Grants for Teachers
Grants to Amarillo ISD teachers for innovative projects provide the focus for the Foundation's fundraising efforts. Since 1993, 465 grants totaling $777,485.06 have been given to AISD schools. These grants provide funds for projects that are beyond AISD's normal operating budget. Each year, teachers submit proposals which are then reviewed by a committee composed of representatives of the AEF's Board, the teaching staff, and campus administrators. Proposals are selected based on their potential to make a difference for students.
