CAMARO GIVEAWAY RESULTS

April 13, 2010 -- On behalf of the AEF Board of Directors thank you so much for your support of the Camaro fundraiser! To those Amarillo citizens who purchased tickets - and sold them - we owe you a huge round of applause and our sincerest appreciation! Thank you!

Our 2010 Pewter Camero Grand Prize Winner is MR. JESSIE BARRIENTEZ!

Mr. Barrientez and his wife are wonderful people who were so grateful to have won this vehicle. Their story is one of tremendous strides toward success and security for their family. Each has gone the extra step to better their life. This car allowed them the opportunity to transport their children to school by car rather than on foot and to allow for an easier way for Mrs.Barrientez to get to school to further her education. So, congratulations to our 2010 Grand Prize Winner.

The Amarillo Education Foundation is so proud of the student support groups and booster club members who sold the Camaro Giveaway tickets. Each group earned 75% of their total ticket sales to fund the special needs of their particular group. From scholarship funds to equipment purchases to trip expenses for bands, orchestras, choirs, speech, and sports to clothing funds for children and families, our groups did very well for themselves. Thank you so much for making our fundraiser such a success.

The Amarillo Education Foundation will use its 25% portion to increase its giving to the AISD through the teacher and school grant programs. As well, it will also be utilized some for special programs within the school or mandatory curriculum materials/program supports.

TOTAL OF ALL SALES: $102,540.00

TOTAL SOLD BY THE Groups and Organizations: $61,420.00

Total Toot ‘n Totum Sales: $41,120.00

And Toot ‘N Totum is going to donate another car next year!
